The Slapin-Solomon Duo has performed throughout the U.S.,
including appearances at the
International Viola Congress and as
artists in residence at the
Montalvo Arts Center in California. Scott
and Tanya won
Best Chamber Music Performance for 2008 at the
Big Easy Entertainment Awards in New Orleans.

They have commissioned, premiered and recorded new works for
two violas by Gerald Busby, Richard Lane, Patrick Neher, Frank Proto
and David Rimelis, and their debut CD
Sketches from the New World:
American Viola Duos in the 21st Century
was hailed as 'absolutely
brilliant' in Strad Magazine.
As soloists, Scott and Tanya made the first complete recording of J.S.
Bach's
Unaccompanied Sonatas, Partitas and Suites (BWV
1001-1013)
performed on viola. Entitled Baroque Preludes, Dances
and Fugues
, this set encompasses all of Bach's solo music written for
non-keyboard instruments and is available on the Eroica Classical
Recordings label.
