Founded by husband and wife team Scott Slapin and Tanya
Solomon, Slapin-Solomon Studios offer the best in professional
violin and viola instruction.
People have many different reasons for wanting to learn to play an
instrument. Whether you are learning purely for the enjoyment of
playing or are aiming for a professional career as a musician, we can
guide you along your path and tailor lessons to your individual needs.
Through a combination of exploring the art of music making and
providing you with the technical expertise needed to achieve it, we
endeavor to make studying the viola or violin a rewarding and
enriching experience for you.
We draw upon a variety of sources (Suzuki and traditional methods),
and cover scales, etudes and solo repertoire to ensure that the
fundamentals of your technique are in place and not holding you back
from advancing to the next level. We have decades of teaching
experience in helping others achieve their goals viol(in)istically as well
as decades of professional performing experience and expertise that
we can pass on to you in a patient and relaxed environment.
Our primary goal is to help you develop musically and to help you follow the
individual path that is right for you.
